ESRANGE SPACE CENTER It is possible to visit Esrange Space Center on a guided tour, but only on prebooked arrangements. For random visits, the Visitor Center may be open, depending on season – but this is NOT located inside the Esrange Space Center area. VISITOR CENTER Esrange Space Center has a Visitor Center that has a brief presentation of the activities of the Swedish Space Corporation. The Visitor Center has a guide to support your visit and can also offer coffee and a souvenir shop.During summer season June – August open daily. Entrance fee. Call for information:  +46 980 722 07 GUIDED TOURS TO ESRANGE SPACE CENTER Guided tours departs from Kiruna Lappland Tourist Office in Kiruna C. The tour is 4 hrs and guided in Swedish and English. Recommended from approx age 12. Transportation and coffee is included. Visits inside the Esrange Space Center can be subject to changes due to activities at the range and safety matters. Reservations TECHNICAL VISITS AT ESRANGE SPACE CENTER Technical Visits at Esrange offer in-depth knowledge in the following fields: Why do we need satellites? This tour gives you an opportunity to understand why we have different kinds of satellites and what good we get out of them. You will also get a guided tour of the space center. Why do we launch stratospheric balloons? This tour gives you an opportunity to participate in the launch of a meteorological balloon measuring the atmospheric conditions above the space center. The scientific data from the flight will contribute to future research projects. You will also get a guided tour of the space center. Technical Visits are recommended for groups of 5-20 people and are very suitable as a part of a longer stay on the destination. Guided tours are arranged for 1-2 hrs depending on age and interest. Availability depends on activities and the safety situation on the location.
